Terms of Service
1. Who we are
"Hirely," "we," "us" = the service hosted at hirely.me. "You" = the person using it. Using Hirely means you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, don't use the service.
2. What Hirely does
Hirely is an AI-powered toolkit for job seekers. It analyses job descriptions, tailors resumes, drafts cover letters and outreach, predicts interview questions, and helps track applications. The AI output is generated by large language models and is provided as a suggestion — not legal, career, or HR advice.
3. Your content
You own everything you type into Hirely: your profile, resume text, job descriptions you paste, applications you track. You grant us a limited licence to process that content solely to provide the service (e.g. sending it to OpenAI to generate a tailored resume, storing it so you can come back to it later). We don't claim ownership of your content and we don't use it to train models.
You promise that the content you submit is yours to submit — i.e., you aren't uploading someone else's copyrighted material without permission.
4. Accounts
You need to sign in with an email to use hosted AI features. You're responsible for keeping your email account secure — anyone with access to your inbox can sign into Hirely via OTP.
One account per person. Don't share your Pro access with other people.
5. Acceptable use
Don't use Hirely to:
- Generate content designed to defraud employers (e.g., claiming experience or credentials you don't have)
- Automate mass applications in a way that violates the target company's terms of service
- Scrape or bulk-extract data from the service
- Reverse-engineer our API or attempt to bypass the paywall
- Harass, threaten, or impersonate anyone
- Violate any law or infringe anyone's rights
We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules, with or without notice.
6. Pro subscriptions
- Pro is billed monthly ($12/mo) or yearly ($72/yr) via PayPal, auto-renewing until you cancel.
- You can cancel any time from your PayPal account. Cancellation stops future charges; you keep Pro access until the end of the already-paid period, then drop to the free tier.
- No refunds for partial periods. If you cancel on day 20 of a monthly cycle, you keep Pro through day 30. If you're unsatisfied in the first 7 days, email support@hirely.me — we'll honour reasonable first-payment refund requests case-by-case. After 7 days, no refunds.
- We may change prices. If we do, we'll notify you 30 days before your next renewal; you can cancel before the change takes effect.
7. Free tier
The free tier gives you 3 JD Analyses and 3 Fit Score checks per calendar month, plus teaser access to every other feature. Free usage may change or be removed at any time. We'll announce any change with at least 14 days' notice.
8. AI output disclaimer
Hirely uses large language models (currently OpenAI's GPT series) to generate content. These models are probabilistic: they can be wrong, outdated, or invent plausible-sounding facts ("hallucinate"). Always review and edit AI output before you send it anywhere that matters. Don't submit AI-generated content to an employer, interviewer, or legal document without reading it carefully first.
We don't guarantee:
- That using Hirely will get you any specific job
- That a tailored resume will pass any specific ATS
- That a fit score is accurate
- That the AI won't produce output you disagree with
9. Service availability
We do our best to keep Hirely running. But we don't guarantee uptime. Vercel (our host), Supabase (our DB / auth), and OpenAI (our AI backend) are each capable of going down, and when they do, parts of Hirely won't work. We'll post status updates on our landing page or support email during outages we know about.
10. Termination
You can close your account any time from Settings → Clear all data (for browser data) + emailing support@hirely.me (for cloud data). Closing your account stops future access but doesn't automatically refund any prepaid Pro period.
We can terminate accounts that violate section 5 (Acceptable use) or section 11 (Indemnity).
11. Indemnity
You agree to cover us for any third-party claim that arises from (a) your misuse of the service, (b) content you submit, or (c) your violation of these terms. In plain English: if you do something stupid with Hirely and a company sues us about it, you're responsible for the fallout.
12. Disclaimers and liability
Hirely is provided "as is". To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim all implied warranties (merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement). Our total liability to you for any claim arising from the service is limited to the greater of (a) $50 or (b) the amount you paid Hirely in the 12 months before the claim.
Some of the above may not apply in your jurisdiction (e.g., consumer protection laws in the EU / UK / California may give you rights these terms can't override).
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction to be set]. Any dispute will be resolved in [jurisdiction's courts]. If you're a consumer in the EU / UK, you retain your right to bring a claim in your own country's courts.
Note: this placeholder will be filled in once the business is formally established. For now, reach out first and we'll resolve things directly.
14. Changes
We can update these terms. We'll update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify active accounts by email. Continuing to use Hirely after a change counts as acceptance.
